S.P. Shukla has over 34 years of varied experience in managing large projects and operations and has made a mark in various fields, including automotive tyres and Information and Communication Technology (ICT), in India. He is widely credited with taking mobile telephony to the masses by setting up telecom infrastructure in the remotest parts of India.

At the Mahindra Group, Mr. Shukla is responsible for the Aerospace, Defence and Steel businesses, key focus areas for the Group as it gears up to harness the vast potential that is emerging in these businesses under the “Make In India” policy of the Indian Government. Mahindra Aerospace is the aerospace arm of the Group, and through companies located both in India and abroad, Mahindra manufactures utility aircraft and aerostructures. He is also the Chairman of several companies engaged in developing and producing equipment to serve the needs of all three wings of the Defence forces. He is also the Chairman of Mahindra Sanyo Special Steel.

Prior to his current role, Mr. Shukla served as President of Group Strategy and was the Chief Brand Officer of the Group. He oversaw and orchestrated a complete makeover of the visual identity of the Group. During this period, the Group Strategy Office launched and institutionalized the Rise Prize (with a prize money of USD 1 million) which aims to foster and develop the innovation ecosystem in India. He has also been responsible for the Mahindra Racing portfolio – both MotoGP (motorcycle) and Formula E (electric cars) – in his capacity as Chief Brand Officer.

Mr. Shukla has a B. Tech from IIT BHU Varanasi and an MBA degree from IIM Ahmedabad.

Arvind Mehra

Arvind Mehra is Executive Director and CEO of Mahindra Aerospace, the aerospace arm of the Mahindra Group. He has over 30 years of diversified experience in senior management positions across large reputed organisations.

At Mahindra Aerospace, Mr. Mehra has conceived and orchestrated the Aerospace strategy for the US $16.5 billion Mahindra Group. He has also managed the acquisition and integration of GippsAero and Aerostaff Australia which marked the Mahindra Group’s entry into the utility aircraft and aero structures market.

In India, he has led the creation, business development and operationalization of the Group’s comprehensive Aerostructures manufacturing facility in Bangalore to cater to growing demand in the global supply chain.

Mr. Mehra has led various significant relationships with large aerospace OEMs around the globe and that has helped the group expand into this new venture. In his previous assignments, he held key positions across various industries such as forgings, electronics, petroleum, telecom, private equity, etc.

Mr Mehra is Fellow Chartered Accountant and Fellow Company Secretary. His education and professional experience includes continued professional enhancement through the company’s tie up with Harvard Business School and his membership of reputed professional , business and government bodies both domestic and international. He has a diversified international exposure and experience.

Keith Douglas

Keith Douglas
Chief Executive Officer, Aircraft Business

Keith Douglas is the Chief Executive Officer of Mahindra Aerospace’s Aircraft Business. He brings with him over two decades of managing multi-million dollar business enterprises in dynamic, competitive and turbulent environments. He has extensive practical experience in business transition, restructuring and integration and has worked in the UK, Australia and New Zealand in the manufacturing and support industry across electronics, telecommunications and, more recently, aviation.

As the CEO, Mr. Douglas is responsible for the implementation of strategic growth plans at the Aircraft Division of Mahindra Aerospace. Prior to this, as the company’s COO, Mr. Douglas was responsible for optimising day-to-day operations of the Aircraft Division and led the business transformation in aircraft manufacturing, service and support.

Mr. Douglas has a diploma in Electrical and Electronic Engineering, a diploma in Management and Financial Studies (both from Borders College, Scotland) and has attended the Mahindra Universe Leadership and Management program at Harvard Business School, USA.

Karthik Krishnamurthy

Dr. Karthik Krishnamurthy
Director, Operations, Aerostructures Business

Dr. Karthik Krishnamurthy has over 25 years of experience in the aerospace industry in India and the USA, and he has worked in diverse roles across aircraft and airborne system development, aircraft prototyping, flight testing and related technologies.

Since joining the Mahindra Group in 2006, he has been a key member of the Group’s aerospace team. He plays an active role in aerospace strategy formulation, business development and industry analysis alongside his current role as Director, Operations for the Aerostructures vertical. Dr. Krishnamurthy previously served as the Chief Technology Officer for Mahindra Aerospace with responsibilities for strategy management and coordination within the aerospace team.

Dr. Krishnamurthy has a Ph.D in Aerospace Engineering from the Texas A&M University and M.S. and B.Tech. degrees, also in Aerospace Engineering, from IIT-Madras. He also acquired a private pilot’s license while at IIT.
